What I do I work with our senior leadership and team on developing new business strategies with/for our customers and third-parties to generate addition opportunities for our city. I develop our marketing strategy, plan events (as well as missions and trade shows) in order to develop new relationships with our western customers for NYC.
How I got here: I graduated with a Hospitality & Tourism Management Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in 2005. After employment with a couple of independent hotels in the Bay Area, I worked for Kimpton Hotels for six years as a regional manager in both San Francisco and New York City. In early 2013, I was hired as the director of international sales for InterContinental Hotels of New York City and was then recruited by NYC & Company, joining the company in February 2014.
Greatest career accomplishment: In 2009, I was awarded Group Sales Manager of the Year at Kimpton Hotels.
Impressive stats: Since 2014, I have averaged 125% above my room night goal (on a goal of 40,000).
What I do outside of work: For the past three years, I have served on the board of PCMA Southwest and Pacific. For the last year, I have served as director of marketing for MPINCC. My true passion and free time, however, is dedicated to being a full-time husband and father to my wife of eight years, Alisa, and our two children.
